Recent Changes & Improvements

I just wanted to provide a small changelog for what has changed recently with Deaconn. I took a break from Deaconn's development for a couple months or so to focus on other projects until recently. I am still working on other projects, but I am making improvements to the website here and there. I plan to make a roadmap for Deaconn in the future as well since there are many areas we can improve on, especially with the website and its development.

Welcome New Contributor, 0Xwind

Please welcome 0Xwind, who is a new contributor and technical writer for Deaconn! They will be creating their own articles on various topics and have already made their first one going over the basics of Internet of Things (IoT).

Website Development

General

• Article rows/cards now display the creator (if any) between the view and comment stats.
• If you hover over an article and service row, there is a small slide-up animation.
• Updated Markdown, package dependencies, and reimplemented Markdown's syntax highlighting for code blocks to mitigate an issue described here and here.
• Code blocks added by Markdown now have a vertical scrollbar if it takes up too much height space.
• Changed link colors in content items.
• Added a theme to the main vertical scrollbar.

Administration

• Breadcrumbs when editing a service/article now link back to the view page instead of the existing edit page (only affects contributors, moderators, and admins on the website).
• Improved date formats and usage in Sitemap.

I will be making a few more changes the next upcoming week or so and will post another article that represents a changelog when the time comes.
